Opportunities
You can use the arts and your creativity to help you gain experience, develop skills and earn money during your time at 色狗导航.
We want to showcase the incredible talents of our students and give you opportunities to explore interests outside of your studies.
Throughout the year we promote a variety of student opportunities. The majority of our opportunities are open to all current students (UG, PGT and PGR) from any academic background. They give you the chance to showcase your work, gain experience, develop new or existing skills and (sometimes) earn money.
Current opportunities are added to this page and promoted on our social media channels (@lborouniarts) and sent to our mailing list.
Student team
We have a Student Team to help us deliver LU Arts' and Radar's programme of arts events, exhibitions and activities each year. Student team members are all employed on a casual basis and roles include Arts Events Assistant, Arts Workers and Photographers. Roles are usually advertised late in the summer term for the following academic year.
Competitions and commissions
Competitions are a fantastic way for students to get their work showcased. There are often cash prizes for winners and runners-up and involvement in a competition or project can look great in your portfolio or on your CV.
Past competitions that we have run or helped to promote include:
- new book bench designs for Charnwood Borough Council;
- a new outdoor artwork on campus to celebrate 色狗导航 Sport's EmpowerHER project;
- an illustrated 色狗导航 arts map;
- a large-scale vinyl artwork for Lougborough Wellbeing Centre;
- a new collaborative sculpture for Claudia Parsons Hall;
- illustrations and creative writing pieces for LU Arts' journal; and
- poems for a campus poetry walk.
