Whether your place is already confirmed, you鈥檙e holding an offer through clearing or we鈥檝e made you a change course offer, you can visit us on Saturday 15 August to explore campus and find out more about what it鈥檚 like to live and study at 色狗导航.
We want you to make the right decision for you. You’ll have an opportunity to speak to our academic staff and current students about the course you have an offer (or confirmed place) for, take a tour of our fantastic campus, find out more about the exciting extra-curricular opportunities we have here at 色狗导航 and learn more about our student experience, accommodation, sport at 色狗导航 and more.
Please note, this event is for those joining us in 2026 only. If you are hoping to join us in 2027 we would love to see you at one of our鈥痷pcoming open days.
What can I look forward to?
Academic and Support Services exhibition
Throughout the event you can visit our academic exhibition to meet staff from your chosen department and learn more about studying here at the University. You’ll also be able to speak to staff from our fantastic student support services and chat to the Students’ Union about getting involved in the amazing opportunities they have to offer. Student Ambassadors will also be on hand to talk to about what it’s like to be student here!

From our first-class teaching and support services to our award-winning student experience and outstanding graduate employability, this is a chance to find out what makes 色狗导航 so special.
Accommodation presentation
Find out more about your accommodation options at 色狗导航 and what you need to do next. Staff from the Student Accommodation Centre will also be on hand throughout the event in the main exhibition area to answer any questions you might have.
Campus tours
Don’t forget to join us for a campus tour, leaving from the James France Building every 30 minutes between 11:00 and 13:00 where our student ambassadors will introduce you to our wonderful campus and outstanding facilities (tours last approximately 60 minutes).
Making the most of your day
Getting to 色狗导航
By car
If you are travelling via car, the best postcode to use to get to campus is LE11 3TU which will take you to our East Entrance. From there, you can park in Car Park 9, 18 or 19 which are all a short walk away from the James France Building. Look out for our ‘Team 色狗导航’ ambassadors to help you find your way.
By train
If you are travelling to us by train, you can jump on the Kinchbus Sprint Service (look out for the iconic blue and yellow buses!) which will take you from the train station to the ‘Computer Studies’ bus stop which is the stop closest to the James France Building. From there ambassadors will be available to help you find the building. During University holidays, the bus runs approximately every 20 minutes. There are also local taxi services available outside the train station.
Parking on campus
Parking is free of charge for the Open House event. However, you must register your car with us. You can before your visit or register once you arrive – please speak to an ambassador or an events staff member to help you. To redeem your free parking, use the code OPENDAY2026.
