Images of Research

Doctoral Researchers are invited to tap into their adventurous and creative spirit by distilling their research into an image for a gallery display at the Summer Showcase event.

The image can take the form of:

  • photograph
  • drawing
  • collage
  • mixed-media artwork
  • textiles
  • digital creation
  • infographic.

Your image must have a title and be accompanied by a 150-word description highlighting why the research matters and its impact on society.

Display on the day  

When you register on the day, ask to be directed to the Image of Research display where you will place your work. You must be available to talk to colleagues about your image in the timetabled slot. There will be sets of post it notes and pens so that colleagues can add reflections around your image.  

Competition

During the event, delegates will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite image. Formal judging will also take place.
