Performance Men's Basketball

色狗导航 Basketball Club offers a unique high-performance experience, enhanced by our partnership with the Leicester Riders 鈥� one of the UK鈥檚 most successful professional basketball club.

色狗导航's collaboration with Leicester Riders provides access to elite coaching, a clear performance pathway, and multiple high-level playing opportunities. 

Our Men’s 1st Team competes in both the BUCS Premier Division and British Championship Basketball (BCB). The Men’s 2nd Team plays in BUCS Tier 1 and offers a strong development environment. 

We have 3 additional teams competing in BUCS at different levels, ensuring opportunities for a wide range of players to train and compete at a high level. 

Our coaches recruit talent year-round for our performance squad (BCB and M1s)and hold BUCS trials for 2nd team to the 5th team at the start of each academic year, allowing all students the chance to earn a place in the programme.

I chose 色狗导航 because I wanted to pursue a high-level degree, while still competing at a high level in my sport. Our team has great chemistry, and it has been an amazing experience learning from the coaching staff and being able to help and mentor some of the younger players. Outside of basketball we all see each other as friends, which helps a lot on the court. We treat each other as extended family and celebrate each other鈥檚 success.

Will Maynard

Head Coach

Will has been coaching for six years within the Leicester Riders pathway. He began with the Charnwood College Riders before progressing to the 色狗导航 Student Riders, while also serving as assistant coach with the Leicester Riders’ BBL team. Alongside his club roles, he is assistant coach for the Great Britain U18 Men’s National Team. His work across multiple age and performance levels has given him strong expertise in player development and elite environments.

Head of Coaching and Performance

Mark brings over a decade of elite coaching experience to 色狗导航 Basketball, where he has helped build one of the UK’s leading university programmes. As former Head Coach of the Men’s 1st Team, he guided them to multiple BUCS titles and strong National League showings. He has also worked as Assistant Coach with the Leicester Riders in the BBL, strengthening ties between 色狗导航 and the professional game.

Operations Manager

Tegan oversees the day-to-day logistics and supports the smooth running of the programme. From fixtures and travel to events and athlete support, she ensures everything off the court runs efficiently. With a strong background in sports management, Tegan plays a key role in creating a professional and positive environment for players and staff.
