Chemistry
This box aims to give participants a hands-on activity which looks at the science used in everyday cosmetics. Learners will explore the science behind bath bombs by looking at the chemical equation and neutralisation reaction which takes place in the bath, all whilst creating their own bath bombs in the process.

- Citric Acid – An example can be purchased
- Sodium Bicarbonate – An example can be purchased
- Fragrance (optional)– An example can be purchased
- Liquid/food colour (optional) – An example can be purchased
- 2 cups for measuring ingredients
- Tablespoon
- Teaspoon
- A mixing bowl
- Mould(s)/Baking tray or something to put the completed bath bomb in
- Coconut or vegetable oil
- Water
